Lighting

Such properties of quartz as a wide range of optical transmission and high melting point are important for the lighting industry.

Nominally there are three main types of HPQ application for lighting:

• Transparent Quartz Glass Tubes for high temperature devices (for example, halogen or HID lamps);
• transparent Quartz Glass Tubes with additives of titanium dioxide (for example, medical germicidal lamps);
• transparent Quartz Glass Tubes with cerium additives, blocking ultraviolet radiation.

RQ products are ideal material for the production of all types of quartz lamps, including automotive and ultraviolet lamps.

Russian Quartz LLC recommends manufacturers of lighting industry to pay attention to the grades RQ-3K, RQ-2K.

Photovoltaic

Production of PV crucibles requires HPQ with very high level of purification.

Russian Quartz LLC recommends manufacturers of PV crucibles to pay attention to the grades RQ-2K (for outer layer) and RQ-2Ki (for inner layer).

Semi conductor

RQ products can be applied for production of high-purity quartz glass products, for example, crucibles, tubes, equipment for processing and etching of silicon wafers etc.

Russian Quartz recommends to the SEMI crucible manufacturers or to the quartz ingot/block manufacturers to pay attention to the grades RQ-2Ki and RQ-1K.

Optical

HPQ is widely applied for optics all over the world due to its main characteristic such as a wide range of optical transmission from the UV to the near IR-transmission.

Single-component and multi-component fused quartz glass is widely used for different applications: optical systems, telescopes, gyroscopes, thermovision cameras, microscopes, lenses etc.
